Thursday Night – Old Time Radio with Presenter, Matt Cox

This week on Cruising the Classics, we haven’t forgotten it’s October, nor have we forgotten the holiday at the end of the month. Therefore we present two works to hopefully thrill you and if they chill you  bit we hope you still enjoy them.  This week we dive head first in to HP Lovecraft with two short stories..  We start with Rats In the Walls which was first published in Weird Tales Magazine in 1924 but we’re going to listen to the Black Mass from July 3 1964.  For those of you unfamiliar with the Black Mass it was produced in Berkley and very well done.  Then we swithch to more familiar territory as we look at Suspense from November 1 1945 and listen to The Dunwich Horror starring Ronald Coleman.  It’s from AFRS so while it misses the commercials it’s still well calculated to … well you know the rest.  Dunwich Horror was also published in Weird Tales in 1929.  Enjoy these mmodern more pulp classics.

Thanks so much
