Our presenter for this week is to be a surprise. However, the Surprise host has given us something to read. Let us read what Rob will be playing.

Hi gang, we have a guest presenter this week so you will want to be there. Thursday December 8th 9:00 P.M. EST, 6:00 on the west coast. Here is our presenter. see you all then!
We begin with a favorite Christmas show of many. It is one of the
most emotional shows that survive concerning Christmas.
It is “Truth Or Consequences” from 12/20/47 Christmas Party For Hubert Smith.

For years, we all wondered what ever happened to Hubert Smith, well,
now we will find out.
Chuck Schaden tracked him down and spoke to him for about 7 minutes
by telephone for his “Those Were the Days” show of
12/22/88.

Our final offering will be “Amos N Andy” from 12/24/41 Christmas eve
show. This is the traditional Christmas eve story heard for many
years on Amos & Andy, but this version took place just 17 days after
Pearl Harbor. Notice the music and melodies heard while Amos is
reciting the prayer to his daughter.

Our presenter for this week is Rick Spurgeon. Let us read what Rick will be playing.

I’ve got two good shows for you, but they come with a price. You first will have to listen to me talk for 15 minutes about a west coast businessman who had a major impact on radio’s first golden age. If not for a twist of fate, he would have undoubtedly changed the course of radio and television. Despite the poor sound quality of my presentation, I think you might find the content illuminating. Your reward for surviving my lecture will be some entertaining radio, including what could well be the very first network detective show.
