THURSDAY NIGHT IN THE FRED BERTELSEN OLD-TIME-RADIO ROOM

Our presenter for this week is Robert Acosta. Let us read what he will be playing for us.

This week I shall celebrate the upcoming football season. One of the most revered football coaches in our illustrious sports history was Rockney of notre Dame. A player that the Rock loved with all of his heart was George Gipp. Lux presents Hollywood starring Ronald Reagan as the Gipper, Fay Ray as mrs. Rockney and Pat O’Brien as Rockney of Notre dame.

Our presenter for this week is Rick spurgeon. Let us read what he will be playing for us.

The saying goes “To thy own self be true,” And I suddenly realize I’ve been slipping away from my mandate to be rotten. Accordingly, this week’s offerings should help defray the appetites of those of you who enjoy your evening meal during my program. I’m not doing anything really nasty like you’d expect on Halloween, just a couple of well-known series. After all, how gruesome can Gunsmoke and Dr. Kildare be? Well, the answer is that thanks to radio’s unique ability to program your mind, you will be the author of your own discomfort level.
You might even feel good at the end of the shows, depending on your imagination’s degree of graphic presentation.

Our presenter for this week is Rick Spurgeon. Let us read what he will be playing for us.

This week we take two well-known stars and feature them outside their own radio series. For you Jimmy Stewart fans (and who isn’t?) he takes the lead in Hallmark’s One Way To Broadway. You’ll notice this show is one of those which demonstrates that radio doesn’t always tell the whole story, as you guess what the audiance sees. Then we’ll let Lady Esther apply the powder to the Screen Guild Players as they present Judy Canova in Joan Of Ozark. Give a listen and decide if maybe Canova was an undervallued actress.

Our presenter for this week is “Rotten Rick Spurgeon.” Let us see what Rick will be playing this week.

Here we go with our first summer offering, and in keeping with John Beaulieu’s and my favorite season, it’s a bit on the lighter side. First we have Crime Classicsc an historical murder made interesting thanks to Elliott Lewis. And, after getting you in a good mood, we’ll up the ante with some classic Bob and Ray. I really think you’ll enjoy this 65 minutes of entertainment.
