male call! no that’s not a mistake, because what once was radio will be celebrating september 8, 1943, the best day in history. the programs we will present are from that date mail call and I won’t list the guests because they are mentioned at the beginning of the show and our second program will be the lone ranger.

This week I shall celebrate the upcoming football season. One of the most revered football coaches in our illustrious sports history was Rockney of notre Dame. A player that the Rock loved with all of his heart was George Gipp. Lux presents Hollywood starring Ronald Reagan as the Gipper, Fay Ray as mrs. Rockney and Pat O’Brien as Rockney of Notre dame.

The saying goes “To thy own self be true,” And I suddenly realize I’ve been slipping away from my mandate to be rotten. Accordingly, this week’s offerings should help defray the appetites of those of you who enjoy your evening meal during my program. I’m not doing anything really nasty like you’d expect on Halloween, just a couple of well-known series. After all, how gruesome can Gunsmoke and Dr. Kildare be? Well, the answer is that thanks to radio’s unique ability to program your mind, you will be the author of your own discomfort level.
You might even feel good at the end of the shows, depending on your imagination’s degree of graphic presentation.

Then we’ll let Lady Esther apply the powder to the Screen Guild Players as they present Judy Canova in Joan Of Ozark. Give a listen and decide if maybe Canova was an undervallued actress.
